Yakuza & Engi

Tokyo Design Studio series Yakuza

Two collections, one visual language: Yakuza and Engi by Tokyo Design Studio bring Japanese tattoo and woodblock art to the table. Bold motifs, fine linework and rich colour on premium Japanese porcelain.

Yakuza shows the dragon, tiger, octopus and carp – the classic motifs of the Japanese irezumi tradition, in strong colours on a black ground. Engi means good fortune: the beckoning lucky cat, sumo with tiger, the Seven Lucky Gods and the kabuki cat with dragon, in cobalt blue on white porcelain.

The range runs from mugs in a gift box through noodle and ramen bowls to pasta plates, rice bowls and complete gift sets, so you can lay a whole table or pick a single piece as a statement. Dishwasher and microwave safe, food safe, made in Japan.
